Acars setting for X-plane on a mac | Hi, i just completed my first flight for AfVa. I filled in the form on the site and the hours are logged manualy. How can I use Acars like I used to do with Virtual Ryanair? I hope you can help me, M
Musti - for right now all XACARS flights have to be completed manually. We are in the testing stages for an XACARS that is compatible for AFVA and DVA.
Acars Problem | ACARS wont allow me to connect, it requires my pilot ID which i havent recieved yet. it says that i will recieve it when i have completed my first flight. however i cannot do that. hope you can help
Take a look at the ACARS manual in the Document Library. It will describe how to set up the ACARS program for your first flight without a Pilot ID.
Date Formatting in AFVA | I just got an e-mail saying that there's an event on 07/08/11. However, the events calendar says that's on the 8th July. For us Europeans, these are two completely days :D For we use DD/MM/YYYY. Would it be possible for it to be updated so that for AFVA (predominantly European), the dates are displayed as DD/MM/YYYY, and DVA can keep the MM/DD/YYYY? Cheers, Caspian
Your can change how you view the date by changing the setting in your profile. When in your pilots center, go to "edit profile" and scroll down to "pilot preferences." There you will see Date/Time format. Just change your date format from MM/dd/yyyy to dd/MM/yyyy
acars/pireps | how do l find acars....and file a pirep
Hi David,
Welcome to Air France Virtual! After you log into the website, look at the left side navigation bar and click the bold link Pilot Centre. This is where you will perform all of your administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, review your logbook, etc. All of the secure functions within our website are located in teh Pilot Centre. It's sort of your own little command post. Once in there, scroll down until you see the Fleet Library. This is where our fleet installers are located that you can download and install the various aircraft that we fly, as well as online flight utilities such as Squawk Box, ACARS, etc. Be sure to check the box "I Am A New Pilot" when you install ACARS for the first time. This will allow you to log into the system with a temporary ID since you will not get a permanenet Pilot ID (PID) until your first flight report is approved. After you receive your PID you will use that to log into ACARS for all subsequent flights. There is a brief manual on the ACARS software located in the Document Library that I recommend you review prior to your first flight since there are some really good features you would not otherwise know how to use, such as typing .weather to get your wx updates for your route. Once you land and park, ACARS will allow you to click "File PIREP" to submit your flight report directly to our system and will also give you the option to view it. Please let us know if you have any trouble or questions. Ryan |

Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Delta Virtual Airlines\ACARS' is denied | hi, I have microsoft flight simulator x and I run it on my PC with Windows 8. I just installed ACARS v3.0 and when I try to send my PIREP it keeps saying: "Access to the registry key 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Delta Virtual Airlines\ACARS' is denied" What should I do?? Thnaks
Try going to the Delta Virtual Airlines folder then right clicking and going to properties then going to security and making sure you have all the permissions.
You could also try downloading the registry fixer which is available in the fleet library . Also run ACARS as administrator. These are the only things I can think of to try. Hope this helps. |

Flight shedule | Hello. My name is Maxime and I'm new in Air France Virtual. I would like to know where can I see the flight shedule of the A330-200?. I look everywhere and I find nothing. Thank you :) Maxime
Hi Maxime,
Using our flight schedule is very easy. When you log into the website, go into the Pilot Center. Look for the heading "AIR FRANCE VIRTUAL FLIGHT SCHEDULE". Under this heading there are three options. You can select "BROWSE SCHEDULE" to find flights between certain cities, or "FIND A FLIGHT" where you can set the criteria you want to search for. If you're looking for A330 flights only, use FIND A FLIGHT and under "Equipment", choose the A330-200 or A330-300. If you have any questions, feel free to email your chief pilot or myself and we'll be glad to help. If you have any problems with the website, just create a new Help Desk issue. Ryan |

ACARS connection | When i tried to connect to ACARS, I get an error saying 'Argument exception- None of the discovered or specified addresses match the socket address family. Parameter name:context. Is there any way to correct it?
Hi Kyriakos - The fix for this is to look in the settings page of ACARS and put a check mark next to disable IPv6 addresses.
New Pilot - No Pilot ID for ACARS | New pilots that do not yet have a Pilot ID number assigned cannot log into ACARS to complete the first flight to receive a permanent PID.
In order to receive a permanent Pilot ID (PID) at Air France Virtual Airlines, a new pilot must complete their initial flight with the ACARS software. When installing the software for the first time, you must ensure that you check the box in the installation options "I Am A New Pilot". This will force the ACARS software to generate a temporary id which will be filled in for you automatically. Using the pre-filled temporary ID and your AFVA website password, you will be able to successfully complete your first flight. After your flight report has been reviewed by a member of the staff and it is approved, the system will generate a permanent PID that will be used for all subsequent flights via ACARS.
Please remember that Air France Virtual requires all flights to be conducted via ACARS, and an active internet connection is not required for flight - only for flight report submission. Please review the ACARS manual in the Document Library of the Pilot Center of our website for more detailed instructions and for additional features available for use with the ACARS application. |

Leg 5 ERJ Program | I have searched for Leg 5 and on for the ERJ program and cannot find anything after Leg 4. What am I missing on this? Thanks! Shawn
Shawn - all it means is 10 flights in the ERJ program, not necessarily Leg 5 of a specific flight number. Hope this helps ![]() |
