To all our loyal AFVA pilots and staff members,
You may have heard about a recent post about a change in the relationship between the two airlines. I regret to announce that this is indeed the case. After 14 years being a close partner, Delta Virtual Airlines senior staff decided to become independent. What started as a goal of attracting more European pilots, developed into diverging philosophies and visions. We will always cherish our time together, The operating philosophy at Air France Virtual in terms of continued attention to realism and detail continued to diverge from the philosophies that developed at Delta Virtual. On Oct 14th, Delta Virtual Airlines unilaterally decided that their staff and members would be better served if we operate independently.
What does this mean for you? You should not see very much of a change as we start the process. Cooler channels were separated and we anticipate that the ACARS server will move in this direction in the near future, once the website programming is complete. Programs, advancement, and guidelines will continue unchanged. We will continue to offer group events and build our Flight Academy.
We appreciate every single member of Air France Virtual Airlines. Your best interest and enjoyment is our primary goal and the reason for this change. While this was a difficult decision for them to make, we ask that all AFVA pilots continue to treat our counterparts at DVA with courtesy and respect.
