Hello gents smile

I am slowly working my way up through the 10 flights to become Pilot of the 747.
But life came in the way, and my last flight was on January 20th, 2019. (LFPG-KBOS)

Today I got a break, and set up for the return flight from KBOS to LFPG.
But when I searched for a flight the only one that showed was with a 787. When flying to KBOS the 747 showed up in the list.
Did it change aircraft type while I was "gone"?

I didn't file the PIREP, because due to my shitty throttles it resulted in a runway overshoot, tires blown, high brake temp and an impressive landing rate of 6-700 fpm..

So I thought I would ask before setting up for a second try wink

EDIT: This was with AirFrance, and I still could choose the 747 from the dropdown list.

Regards Orjan.

It is possible the schedule has been updated and therefore the equipment type was changed smile Even though it is perfectly fine to fly the 747 on that route as well.

Thanks for the answer Tomas smile
Is it as simple as that the aircrafts available in the dropdown list, are approved to use for the flight?

Cheers

The flight is planned with the aircraft shown but you're free to choose any aircraft that you are rated for and can cover the distance of the flight.

For example: flight KL601 EHAM-KLAX is planned with a B747-400 you can fly the B747-400 but also a B777 or A330 of any kind as long as you have the appropriate rating. An E175 for example will not make the flight (duh) and will get your flight held wink

It's not as simple that the equipment in the list is appropriate (as it shows everything) but I trust our pilots have common sense on that one :-)

I understand, was thinking maybe it would be an issue with a "wrong" aircraft type...
But like you say, the aircraft from the list must of course be able to cover the distance wink

Thank you for your time and clarifying this for me smile

Cheers,
Orjan.
