I'd like to get a weekend group flight out of Orly or DeGaul set up for München before the end of the first week of Oktober. I'll fly it myself if I have too, but I'd rather it be with my fellow AF pilots.

I've never organized an event before but I'd sure like to see this happen. I can contact LFPG and EDDM Radar/Contol and ask them to be on-hand if we can come up with a date and time before Oktoberfest is over.

In the future, I'd also like to see a ski run into Innsbruck or Cortina. Say around mid December. And we can't forget about Christmas in München either. There is always something going on there during Christmas.

Please post your replies here so I can see how much interest there is in the Bier Run.

There's plenty more where she came from. They're everywhere and even better looking than her. If you've never been to Oktoberfest and you live in Europe, you're cheating yourself out of a heck of a festival.

By the way, the Spätenbrau tent is one of the larger ones and is excellent bier. I do prefer the Hoffbrauhaus bier, but I never met a German bier I didn't like.

Yeah, you're probably farther away from Europe than I am.

I lived in Germany for two years and FS takes me back just a little bit.

Michael,

Great idea. We've missed the Oktoberfest2004 Flyin put on by MUNICH FIR, but the informatio is still at http://oktoberfest.munich-fir.org/

How about Saturday, 02Oct, some time around 1900UTC. That way is will be Saturday afternoon in the U.S. and nighttime in Paris and Munich.

Yes Tom, that sounds great. That was my only obstical about coming over to AF, was the time difference.

I didn't know about the EDDM fly-in. I'd have been on that in a minute. If we can still schedule EDDM and LFPG for a second fly-in (hey, after all the Oktoberfest is for six weeks!) that would be great.

Do you have any influence with either of those two FIR's?
