| BRIEFING DOCUMENTATION | |||||
| Tour Briefing | From the deserts of the Middle East to the industrial heartlands of Europe, across the Americas, and deep into Asia, this tour explores the backbone of global cargo operations. Freight flying is rarely glamorous — it is scheduled at odd hours, heavy departures, quick turnarounds, and routes built around logistics instead of passengers. Yet cargo aviation quietly keeps the world moving. This first chapter of the “F” Word series places pilots in command of some of the most recognizable freighters in aviation history, including the B747-8F, B777F, MD-11F, B767F, and classic cargo workhorses. The routing reflects the real-world nature of freight networks: major hubs, industrial centers, and strategic transfer points connected by long overnight sectors and regional distribution flights. Pilots will cross multiple continents and climates while operating for a variety of cargo carriers and partner airlines. Expect everything from dense Asian freight corridors and transatlantic crossings to high-volume North American cargo routes and challenging long-haul sectors across the Pacific. This is not a luxury passenger tour. It is a working pilot’s schedule. Key operational themes throughout the tour include: Long-haul cargo operations and fuel planning Overnight and early-morning freight departures Mixed fleet operations across multiple aircraft types Hub-and-spoke cargo routing International procedures across several FIRs and ATC environments Whether flying online or offline, pilots are encouraged to operate with realistic dispatch procedures, cargo weights, and operational discipline appropriate for freight flying. Welcome to the freight network. The packages do not wait. |
